Screening for Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Team of Educate Technik: JOURNAL of ENGINEERING SCIENCES is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. To ensure originality and prevent unethical practices, all submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening before entering the peer review process.
1. Plagiarism Detection

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate.

The similarity index must not exceed 20%, excluding references, direct quotations, and template formatting.

Manuscripts with high similarity or indications of plagiarism will be immediately rejected or returned for revision, depending on severity.
2. Types of Plagiarism
The following are considered forms of plagiarism and academic misconduct:

Direct plagiarism: Copying text from other sources without proper attribution.

Mosaic plagiarism: Piecing together copied phrases or sentences from multiple sources without appropriate citations.

Self-plagiarism: Republishing one’s own previously published work (in whole or substantial part) without proper citation or disclosure.

Data or figure plagiarism: Using others’ data, charts, figures, or images without proper acknowledgment or permission.
3. Editorial Actions

If plagiarism is detected before publication, the manuscript will be rejected without review.

If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article will be formally retracted, and a retraction notice will be issued on the journal’s website.

In cases of serious ethical violations, the authors’ affiliated institutions may be notified.
4. Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is entirely original and that all sources are properly cited.

Proper paraphrasing, quotation, and acknowledgment of prior work are mandatory.

Authors are strongly encouraged to run their manuscripts through plagiarism detection software prior to submission.
